External Sales Executive Vacancy (Full Time Role)

Staco is an international company that provides a complete range of gratings, stair treads and associated products in steel, stainless steel, aluminium and GRP (fibreglass-reinforced plastic). Our quality products are used not only as floor gratings, but also increasingly as stylish wall and ceiling cladding, genuinely adding to the architectural value of a building. Our products are found in multiple and varied sectors that include industry, residential and commercial/retail construction, offshore and shipbuilding, agriculture and civil engineering.

Staco has offices throughout Europe and is member of the ROTO group, a strong network of companies specialising in steel processing, grating technology and surface treatment.

Staco Gratings UK Ltd have a vacancy for an External Sales Executive.  This is predominantly an ‘on the road’ role promoting the Staco brand and achieving set sales targets through new and existing customers. Covering a large area across the UK you will be expected to stay away from time to time.

External Sales Executive Role and Responsibilities

  • To promote, develop and increase profitable sales for the Company by creating new customer relationships whilst ensuring the highest level of customer service.
  • To achieve all KPI's/Tasks set on a Weekly/Montly basis in readiness for your fortnightly one to one with the Sales Director.
  • To liaise with internal and external departments to optimise quality of service, sustain good working relationships and achieve targets
  • Provide advice on Staco brand, products and services to Architects, Engineers and Main Contractors;
  • Processing, calculating and submitting offers
  • To provide support and other administrative duties should they be required
  • Take ownership and responsibility for your own customer base, approaching potential customers with enthusiasm and building rapport to create strong relationships.
  • Have a proactive approach to sales and optimise the potential of both new and existing customers.
  • Take time to identify accounts that would benefit from a more hands-on approach.
  • React promptly to all tenders, quotations and estimates in accordance with Company pricing policies, completing all paperwork accurately with attention to detail.
  • To produce performance reports for your accounts as requested.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A high-level of self-motivation with the ability to work alone
  • Knowledge of a sales process
  • Experience in an external sales would be an advantage
  • Business Development skills
  • Persuasive negotiation skills
  • Evidence of working to KPIs under pressure
  • Ideally you will have experience within the steel industry
  • Approachable, with a proven ability to problem solve effectively
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Driven to exceed sales targets
  • Computer literate.

What we can offer

Our office is based in Kent but our search is not limited to this area, your place of work can be a home address but you would be expected to attend the office fortnightly once training has been completed.  The remuneration is as follows, Salary DOE (depending on experience) VW Golf Company car, laptop, mobile phone, pension, 25 days holiday + BH PA. Staco are a part of the ROTO Group with manufacturing facilities across Europe, as such you will need to have a valid passport.
