Not only at ROTO, but also at our Business Units there are several efforts for a more sustainable environment and future. One of them is Prestia. In 2023, they will optimize a very sustainable process that has been going on since 2016: methanization to generate not only green electricity, but also heat for the Prestia SBG pre-treatment baths.

It refers to the diverse and colourful activities our Business Units engage in: steel and steel processing, grating technology, surface treatment and zinc recycling. Our Business Units have contributed to several projects that needed a strong and reliable material to save and preserve the construction. For these projects it was necessary to choose metal as other materials simply didn’t meet the requirements.
Our focus
Metal plays the main role in our activities. This is the playing field in which we want to be world champions. As ROTO, we want to add value to this chain. Excluding the use of other materials ensures our focus on metal!

Prins Staal and De Boer Staal join forces
Today it was announced that Prins Staal from Haarlem and De Boer Staal from Uitgeest are joining forces and moving forward together. This adds Prins Staal to the family of companies of the ROTO group, of which De Boer Staal is already part. With this acquisition, ROTO Group is strengthening its market position in the field of steel processing.
'Safety first' at ROTO
Every accident is one too many. At ROTO we are keen to continuously improve our safety culture. With the help of dss+ we will eventually be able to report a safety index of zero throughout all Business Units.
